Mr. Reel is a Principal with Summit Acquisitions Group.  Ed has over 20 years experience in Fortune 100 and privately held companies that include Mobil Oil Corporation, TRW, Peach State Integrated Technologies, PricewaterhouseCoopers and American Software.  He has extensive knowledge and experience in a multitude of industries such as logistics, distribution and manufacturing operations, industrial products sales & marketing, material handling systems design and implementation, and application software solutions. 

Ed has led regional and national organizations and developed sales and marketing strategies, financial projections and budgets, and operating processes that improved top line growth, profitability, productivity, and customer service.  As a member of Summit Acquisitions Group, Ed utilizes these skills in support of buyers and sellers for the effective assessment, valuation, financing and marketing of privately held companies. 

Prior to joining Summit Acquisitions Group, Ed held a wide range of leadership roles in general and executive management, engineering, sales & marketing, and business development. He built effective sales and engineering teams at Mobil Oil Corporation that repeatedly achieved the highest recognition in US Marketing & Refining.  As a Senior Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers, he developed growth strategies and supporting operating processes for both public and private companies.  

In addition, Ed has extensive experience in the privately held business environment during his tenure as Senior Vice President with Peach State Integrated Technologies, a logistics and distribution engineering company.  He was a member of the Executive Leadership Team responsible for the company’s strategic planning, budgeting, and operational implementation to achieve its fiscal goals. 

Ed earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Tennessee .
